Application Notes
In order to protect the valve it is essential that a resistance is included directly in each anode lead when large capacity smoothing condensers are used. Without these resistances the charging current of the first smoothing condenser may destroy the cathode of the rectifier should the amplifier be switched off and on again quickly.
